This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect your personal information when you use our software infrastructure, API services, Virtual Escrow functionality, Android application, WhatsApp bot, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Payload Data: When you use our Services, we collect data submitted through our API endpoints, Android application, and WhatsApp bot. This may include:

• Transaction receipts and financial documents
• Links and URLs for verification
• Identification documents and authentication materials
• Communication metadata and transaction details
• Account information and user preferences

Technical Data: We automatically collect technical information such as IP addresses, device identifiers, browser type, and usage patterns to improve our Services and ensure security.

API Processing: Data submitted via our API is processed in real-time for verification, authentication, and fraud detection purposes. Payload data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols.

Android Application: Our Android app processes data locally where possible to minimize data transmission. Sensitive data is encrypted before transmission to our servers for verification processing.

WhatsApp Bot: When you interact with our WhatsApp bot, message content and attachments are processed through WhatsApp's secure infrastructure before being transmitted to our verification systems. We do not store WhatsApp message content beyond the verification process unless required for service improvement or legal compliance.

Model Improvement: We use anonymized and aggregated data to train and improve our machine learning verification models. We do not use personally identifiable information or original documents for model training without explicit consent.

Document and Receipt Processing: Submitted documents, receipts, and verification materials may be anonymized (removing personal identifiers, sensitive information, and metadata) and used to enhance our fraud detection algorithms and verification accuracy. This process helps us better serve all users while protecting individual privacy.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of having your data used for model training by contacting us at privacy@vigivend.com. This will not affect your ability to use our core verification services.

Verification Data: Payload data submitted for verification is retained for the duration necessary to provide the service and for a period of up to 90 days thereafter for quality assurance, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance purposes.

Account Data: Account information and user data is retained for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide our Services. After account termination, we retain basic information for legal compliance and fraud prevention purposes.

Anonymized Training Data: Once data is anonymized and used for model training, it may be retained indefinitely as part of our machine learning models. This data cannot be linked back to individual users.

Virtual Escrow Records: Escrow transaction records are retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial regulations and audit requirements.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• End-to-end encryption for data in transit using TLS 1.3
• AES-256 encryption for data at rest
• Regular security audits and penetration testing
• Access controls and authentication mechanisms

Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Licensed Banking Partners: For Virtual Escrow services, we share necessary transaction information with our licensed banking partners to facilitate fund management and regulatory compliance.

Service Providers: We may share data with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud infrastructure, analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.
